Harvest Katsina - Size 8.5 to 10

This Harvest Katsina sterling silver ring by Michael Horse is adorned with four cabachons of highly prized natural Morenci turquoise. The ring is size 8.5 and can be enlarged to size 10 at no charge.

Katsinas are intelligent forces of nature that are honored by people on the Pueblos in Arizona and New Mexico. The Harvest Katsina is associated with the harvest, prosperity, good health, and the return of the rains. It is signed on the back.

This Katsina started out as a flat sheet silver.  Each of the three-dimensional pieces, ffeet, hands, chest, face, rattle, fan, etc., are sawn out by hand.  The pieces were then pounded and shaped.  He also cuts and polishes the stones that are set in each piece.
